In agreement with the Minister of Human Capacities, the Minister of Justice, Dr. Judit Varga has appointed eight members of our office to members of the Council of Copyright Experts (the Council). Between 1 August 2020 and 31 July 2025, from SBGK Attorneys at Law and Patent Attorneys SBGK President, Dr. Katalin Szamosi and partners Dr. András György, Dr. Ádám György, Dr. Enikő Karsay and Dr. Péter Lukácsi from the law firm and partners Dr. Zoltán Köteles, Katalin Mészárosné Dónusz, András Mák from the patent firm will serve as members of the Council.
The Council's main function is an expert witness activity during judicial procedures (as one of the modes of proof). The Council also provides expert opinions in extrajudicial procedures on issues and professional questions arising, mainly concerning the exercise of right of use. Council also has a mediation function.
The Council shall be composed of persons with high level copyright knowledge or exemplary expertise in the fields of performing arts.
