Dr. Péter Lukácsi, Ph.D. as the guest of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA), held a presentation on 14 February 2019 in Alicante, Spain, part of the roundtable discussion "Does Function matter more than form? Registrable shapes for 3D trade marks and designs".
Péter shared his theoretical and practical experience with the pleading for the registrability of 3D marks and designs with a function. Our colleague has presented the latest case law on spatial trademarks and has comprehensively analyzed the theoretical and practical considerations of the trademark protection of spatial designations, arguing for the trademark protection of these signs.
