In September 2021, for the fourth consecutive year SBGK Partner Péter Lukácsi delivered a public lecture on the distinctive character of designs within the framework of the EUIPO Trade Mark and Design Education Programme (ETMD EP). In his presentation entitled "Distinctiveness of Shape Trade Marks - Toys, Shape of Product or Packaging" under the auspices of the European Union Intellectual Property Office's (EUIPO) trademark and design education program, Péter analyzed the European regulation and practice of three-dimensional trademarks, illustrated with not just a number of judicial and administrative decisions but with several examples from his professional practice.
This training program provides a special learning and training opportunity for various professionals already working in the field of intellectual property to deepen their knowledge. It is a great honor for SBGK that one of its partners could contribute to this practical program, in which, in addition to the EUIPO staff, leading IP professionals and academics with outstanding expertise have the chance to give presentations.
